St Ives Choir 27th June 2025

  The St Ives choir held it's bi-monthly concert on 27 June 2025. The concert has a Country & Western theme. The first set of songs were : Zip a Dee Doo Dah The Farmer and the Cowman Ghost Riders in the Sky Liberty Valance Jolene Rawhide The first singalong consisted on the songs : Buttons and Bows Deep in the Heart of Texas Tie a Yellow Ribbon Don’t Fence Me In Phil, backed by the Choir sang : Rhinestone Cowboy The Choir then sang it's second set of songs : They Call the Wind Maria I Walk the Line Hit the Road Jack I Was Born Under a Wandering Star The second singalong consisted of the songs : Red River Valley Someplace Green Beautiful Brown Eyes O Lonesome Me John, backed by the Choir sang the song : The Gambler The final set of songs sang bybthe Choir were : Shelter Click Go the Shears The Pub With No Beer Give Me a Home Among the Gum Trees I Still Call Australia Home Here are a few Photos from the night :

St Ives Choir - Anzac Day Concert

 The St Ives choir held its bi-monthly concert on 26 April 2025. The concert commemorated Anzac Day exactly 110 years and 1 day after the Gallipoli landing. The first set of songs were : Bless Em All This is the Army Mr Jones Kiss Me Goodnight Sargent Major Wish Me Luck Rodney then did a Solo both singing and playing the Ukulele Christmas 1915 The first audience singalong contained the songs Don't Sit Under The Apple tree Ma I Miss Your Apple Pie Sing As We Go It's A Long Way To Go To Tipperary The second set of songs sung by the Choir were Till We Meet Again Rose Of No Mans Land I'll See You Again A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square Well Meet Again Bev then did a Reading of a Poem by Jack Drake, The Waters Of The Well The second audience singalong contained the following songs You Are My Sunshine There's A Boy Coming Home On Leave White Cliffs Of Dover When They Sound The Last All Clear The choir then sang a third set of songs Coming In On A Wind And A Prayer Harbour ...

 The St Ives choir held its bi-monthly concert on 28 February 2025. The theme for the concert was Reflections. The first series of songs were : Welcome To My World Till There vWas You Sound Of Silence With A Smile And A Song The fist singalong contained the songs It's A Big Wide Wonderful World Dream That's The Glory Of Love A Wonderful Guy The choir then sang a set of Sea Shanties Haul Away Joe / Blow The Man Down Wellweman / What Will We Do With a Drunken Sailor Leave Her Johnny / Santiana Coralie & Pamela then sang a due, Whispering Hope The second singalong contained the songs Ain't We Got Fun Blue Skies Catch A Falling Star Consider Yourself Phil then sang a solo, The Way We Were The final set of songs sand be the choir were Love Changes Everything A Million Dreams You Raise Me Up I Beleve Can You Fell The Love Tonight Here are a few Photos from the concert

St Ives Choir - Christmas Concert - 20th December 2024

 The St Ives Choir performed their annual Christmas Concert on 20th December 2024. The Christmas Concert is always the most attended concert of the year and 2024 was no exception, we literally could not fit any more chairs into the lounge (see Photo Below) ! It was also Mathilda's (& Francois) last concert with us as she is moving on to pastures new, she will. be missed by all the Choir. The St Ives choir held its bi-monthly concert on 25 October 2024.
