St Ives Choir - Anzac Day Concert
The St Ives choir held its bi-monthly concert on 26 April 2025.
The concert commemorated Anzac Day exactly 110 years and 1 day after the Gallipoli landing.
The first set of songs were :
- Bless Em All
- This is the Army Mr Jones
- Kiss Me Goodnight Sargent Major
- Wish Me Luck
Rodney then did a Solo both singing and playing the Ukulele
- Christmas 1915
The first audience singalong contained the songs
- Don't Sit Under The Apple tree
- Ma I Miss Your Apple Pie
- Sing As We Go
- It's A Long Way To Go To Tipperary
The second set of songs sung by the Choir were
- Till We Meet Again
- Rose Of No Mans Land
- I'll See You Again
- A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square
- Well Meet Again
Bev then did a Reading of a Poem by Jack Drake,
- The Waters Of The Well
The second audience singalong contained the following songs
- You Are My Sunshine
- There's A Boy Coming Home On Leave
- White Cliffs Of Dover
- When They Sound The Last All Clear
The choir then sang a third set of songs
- Coming In On A Wind And A Prayer
- Harbour Lights
- Let The Rest Of The World Go By
Mac and the Choir then sang
- And The Band Played Waltzing Matilda
The Evening concluded with a reading filled by a choral presentation of the Last Post
